Right on… TC1100 is a vastly superior product and actually has up 1.5 Ghz processor. Mine is 1.5 Ghz. Add a cellular PC card with the service of YOUR choice and you’re running circles around the iPad… unless you really prefer to navigate with your finger instead of a stylus.
After having touched the iPad it is a nice unit. I think it depends on what you are looking for. The HP it for sure a more versatile system but I bet you when you bought it; it was more than $500 or $600.
I think the only downfall for the non-geek user or someone with specific needs is that the TC1100 runs a full blown Windows. I think the success of the iPad is half based on the simplicity.

I’ve played with an ipad, and have an iphone giving me familiarity with it. I have never tried the TC1100. It is intriguing. It appears to have the makings of something remarkable, especially if you swapped out a mechanical hard drive and put in an SSD. One thing I love is you push the button, and the thing is on, no booting on windows or waking up. The Ipad is sleek and just feels comfortable. It’s got a ton of apps that make it very versitile and they’re not that expensive. Windows – how much memory per software package? How many viruses to deal with? Blue Screens? I do see advantages in the TC1100, but for a home user, the IPAD just rocks…
i`d likr to let you know that . I`m interesting to buy the tc1100.
please let me now.about price and coste send to uk
I will thank-u to hear from -u shortly
I don’t have the TC1100 any longer so I am not sure how much it would cost to buy. I would take a look on Ebay or Craigslist for a used unit. These haven’t been made in quite some time.
