“The definitions I grew up with were that a geek is someone unusually into something (so you could have computer geeks, baseball geeks, theater geeks, etc) and nerds are (often awkward) science, math, or computer geeks. But definitions vary.”

For some reason it really does feel like they get it :)

    Happy Monday, Geek on!

love this dry look at the way perspectives have changed, even though only slightly…

There are a lot of places to get a good geek laugh on the interwebs, but I have to say XKCD is one of the best. I have been reading them for quite some time and they have a great dry sense of humour (yes, I am Canadian and insist on putting the letter ‘u’ in everything).

They seem to really hit home as they poke at some of the more frustrating aspects of a geek in the world.

I also love this comic which is to use a complex means to point out that people are illogical!

Even their about page is awesome. This is where I learned that XKCD is not an acronym but… it’s better they explain it!

It’s not actually an acronym. It’s just a word with no phonetic pronunciation — a treasured and carefully-guarded point in the space of four-character strings.

Go and take a look. The best way I can see to entertain yourself is the random button at the top.

For sure this is a chance to Geek on!
